If you are trying to share your iPad on zoom and the Airplay option is not showing up, you have to go https://zoom.us/profile/setting (log in to your account and stay on the personal settings section).

Settings page for a zoom account

Ctrl + f to search for screen sharing, or scroll down to that section. Make sure screen sharing is enabled BUT (this is the trick) make sure to disable desktop/screen share for users. Then try it again and it should work.

The option will look like this on your zoom screen share options. If you do not know how to get to this, then follow the video or full zoom guide on using iPhone/iPad airplay down below.

This tip was shared graciously by Stephie Answers on YouTube and posted here for anyone who might be searching for the answer.

If you want the full video documenting how to share your screen once the iPhone/iPad via Airplay option is on, process once this option is turned on feel free to watch HomeSpeechHome’s video showcasing how to screen share your iPad and iPhone. You only need to watch up to 1.30secs, the footage after that is related to speech therapy lessons. You can also easily follow zoom’s overview guide that takes you step by step once you have the iPhone/iPad via AirPlay option available.
